Every newsletter, we like to put the spotlight on one of our experts here at Mattern.  This spring, we’re pleased to put the spotlight on Kyle Reese, the newest Consultant to join Mattern.

Here’s what we asked Kyle:

1. What do clients like best about working with you?

Clients value candidness and credibility – even if they’re tough conversations – and I feel it’s my responsibility to ensure I am telling clients what they need to hear and not necessarily what they want to hear. My experience in the legal industry and my candid, straight forward approach is liked and appreciated by clients.

2. What is unique and valuable about your expertise?

I’ve spent my entire career working on behalf of law firms. I started with an outsourced provider managing a copy/mail center right out of college and eventually lead a large team in an outsourcing operation supporting several clients across three continentals. My expertise is unique and valuable because I’ve had hands on, sleeves rolled up experience in the areas that I now consult with clients. I bring that real-life experience to our clients every day.

3. What are some successes you are most proud of and why?

I am proud every time we complete a successful project for a client and they’re able to recognize improvements to their processes and, many times, reduce costs in doing so. I think that our success really does mirror or clients success; anytime our clients are successful, we are success and that’s always something to be proud of.

4. Who’s going to win the Series?

I am an unabashed Cleveland homer so my answer every year is that it’s the Indians’ year. Go Tribe!

5. Tell us about the recent success at [insert name of firm] (and segue):

I am currently working with a mid-sized law firm in the Mid-South. Based on our analysis and recommendations we made, the firm is going to recognize improved processes and workflow, a standardized equipment fleet, improved terms and conditions and will save over $130,000 per year. I am really looking forward to the value we are bringing to this excellent team.
